Fulget crucis mysterium

Passing through Lower Egypt, I took this photo from the open door of a fast-moving train.

The origin of the phrase "fulget crucis mysterium" is the Vexilla Regis by Venantius Fortunatus (530-609).  There is a fine poem of the title by Paulo Teixeira, a Mozambique-born Portuguese poet.
